Wat Phra That Chom Kitti

Rest on Doi Noi Hill in Chiang Rai's Chiang Saen district, Phra That Chom Kitti is an ancient Buddhist stupa believed to be build before the first century (around 940 AD) by an ancient king of Chiang Saen kingdom to enshrine the Buddha's relic. Surrounding the stupa are many ancient Buddha's images also revered by locals.  In 2007, the pinnacle of the stupa was damaged by the earthquake and was later renovated into its current condition.
